These Terms of Use apply to your use of beautypicked.com (the "site"), which is run by BeautyPicked ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the site is

Beauty Picked publishes research-based guides and product roundups about skincare, hair and beauty. Everything on the site is general information, provided for your interest and convenience. It is not personal advice, and it is not a recommendation that any product is right for you.

Not medical advice

Nothing on the site is medical, dermatological or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a dermatologist, doctor or pharmacist who knows your situation. Products we describe are cosmetics (and, for sunscreen, over-the-counter drugs in the US); always follow the product label. Please read our Medical Disclaimer before acting on anything you read here.

Affiliate links, prices and availability

• We don't sell anything. We are not a shop. We don't take orders, handle payments, ship products, or process returns or refunds.
• Links to Amazon are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how this works.
• Amazon sets prices and stock. Prices, availability, shipping, product listings and sellers on Amazon are controlled by Amazon and its sellers, change often, and may differ from what you expect. That is why we show budget labels instead of prices. Check the product page on Amazon before you buy.
• Your purchase is with Amazon. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and Amazon (or the seller), on their terms. Questions about an order, delivery, returns or a product's condition need to go to Amazon using the contact options on Amazon's site.
• Formulas and packaging change. Brands reformulate and repackage products. Always read the ingredient list and label on the product you actually receive.

Accuracy and corrections

We work hard to get things right: product facts are taken from linked sources, and we correct errors when we find them or when readers point them out. But we can't guarantee that everything on the site is complete, accurate or current, and content may be out of date by the time you read it. No warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that the site will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, illustrations, logo and layout belong to BeautyPicked or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You're welcome to read, share links to, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from our content without our written permission, except as the law allows (for example, short quotations with a link back to the page).

Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their owners. Their appearance on the site doesn't mean the owner endorses us or that we are affiliated with them.

Acceptable use

When you use the site, please don't:

• break any law, or use the site to infringe anyone else's rights;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or related systems, or interfere with how they work;
• scrape, copy or harvest content in bulk, or use automated means to access the site in a way that puts unreasonable load on it;
• use our content to train or fine-tune machine-learning models, or to build a competing product, without our written permission;
• misrepresent your relationship with us.

Links to other websites

The site links to other websites, including Amazon, brand sites and the sources behind our articles. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the linked site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, BeautyPicked is not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profits) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, or from any product you buy after following a link from the site. Your use of the site is at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be dealt with by the courts of New Zealand, unless the consumer law of the place you live gives you a non-excludable right to bring proceedings there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
