HOW WE EARN

The short version

Beauty Picked is free to read. We pay for it by earning a commission when you buy something through some of our links. If you click a link to Amazon on this site and then buy something, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to Amazon directly.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Amazon Associates

BeautyPicked is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Every product link to Amazon.com on this site, including every "Check price on Amazon" button, is an affiliate link. It carries our Associates tracking ID, so Amazon can tell that you came from Beauty Picked. If you buy a qualifying product within Amazon's time window after clicking, Amazon pays us a commission. Amazon decides what counts as a qualifying purchase and sets the commission rates, which vary by product category. We are not paid for clicks on their own.

Affiliate links on the site are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored", and they open in a new tab so it is clear you are leaving Beauty Picked.

Being an Amazon Associate does not mean Amazon endorses, sponsors or reviews our content. Amazon has no say in what we write or which products we pick.

How we choose products

Our picks are chosen on the evidence, not on what pays best:

What "Check price on Amazon" means

The "Check price on Amazon" button under each product takes you to Amazon.com, where you can see the current price, sizes, sellers, delivery options and customer reviews. Depending on the product, the button opens either the product's page or Amazon search results for that product. Before you buy, check that the listing is the exact product, size and shade you want, and that it is sold by a seller you trust.

Why we show budget labels instead of prices

Prices on Amazon change often, sometimes several times a day, and they differ by seller, size and location. Amazon's program rules also limit how affiliate sites may display prices: a site may show prices only when Amazon serves them or when they come from Amazon's product data API. A price written into an article would quickly be wrong.

So instead of prices, each product gets a rough budget label:

Labels are a general guide to where a product sits in its category, not a promise about the price you'll see. Click through to Amazon for the current price.

Other links

We also link to brand websites, dermatology organisations, government agencies, research papers and editorial reviews so you can check our sources. Only our product links to Amazon.com are affiliate links. Links to other sites, and links to Amazon's help and policy pages, are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.
